Theme Update 1.01

  1. Wrapped the post dates in a span to correct a problem with the way the posts’ meta area displayed on IE 7. Probably should have done it this way all along.

Twitter Support

This theme includes support for displaying your latest tweets. That’s the theory anyway. I haven’t actually tested that functionality, since I don’t have (and am not interested in signing up for) a Twitter account. [Insert Luddite joke here, if you’re so inclined.]

Therefore, if anyone out there uses this theme and Twitter, please drop me an email with your URL, so I can check that the tweets get displayed correctly. Thanks.

Instructions for the Adventurous

  1. Suck the theme down to your computer. It’s waiting for you at the link above. (IE users beware: When saving make sure the file extension is .txt; IE will mistakenly try to force it to .htm)
  2. Jump to your Tumblr Dashboard and click the “Customize” link.
  3. Select the “Theme” tab
  4. Click on the “Use custom HTML” link.
  5. The screen will change to show you the actual source code for your current theme. Delete all of it.
  6. Copy all the text from the downloaded theme file and paste it into the white text area.
  7. Click on the Appearance tab and then click on Reset defaults. This will eliminate any custom settings values from the previous theme. Make any Apperance modifications you desire.
  8. Click the “Save + Close” button

The user may select from half a dozen metallic types, a couple color schemes, and several background images. Just be sure to click the Reset Defaults button on the Appearance drop-down list. Otherwise, you'll probably start off with some odd combinations.
